Study is not something that only takes place at home, instead it is
something that should be incorporated into every aspect of life - well,
that's my belief anyhow.
You will find that if you pay close attention during classes, and occasionally
think about what you have been taught, you will find study during the
evenings a lot more pleasant. My logic behind this is that if you pay
close attention during classes - and by that I mean listening and trying
to understand what lecturers are going on about as opposed to what your
friend is saying or writing sms messages on your phone - you will tend
to remember more of the issues at hand. As for thinking about what you
have learnt and developing your own opinions, that will just help you
later on when it is time to write an essay because you will (hopefully)
have developed some opinions and direction to follow.
Remember - there is no right or wrong way to study - different methods
suit different people. None the less, loud music and televisions are
an exception to this rule.
