Welcome to the student's area of the Law Library. This section has
been prepared as a general guide for students at university, but
can also be utilised to facilitate study at other levels.
Many people appear to have the faulty impression that study is merely
a matter of attending classes, taking some notes, and occasionally
reviewing materials on hand - unfortunately this is not true - well
at least if you want to be successful. It is much nearer the truth
to say that study and schooling is much broader, involving combinations
of intense techniques, procedures, and above all else - continued
persistence. In short, it would be fair to say that being a good
student is about one's state of mind - if not lifestyle.
In preparing this manual, a variety of guides and personal experiences
have been drawn upon from Criminology, Psychology, and Social Sciences
- updating, extending and modifying as found necessary to serve
the current needs of programs and courses offered at various institutions.
